Shadgan International Ponds are located in the southwest of Iran. In the past, these ponds hosted a large number of migratory birds, visitors and various types of fish. But the current environmental conditions have caused the destruction of a large amount of wetlands. Drying, salinity of water, heat of the air and most importantly the red dust that has been an uninvited guest of this beautiful wetland for several years are announcing its early death.

For this collection, I used avant-garde work style. It was the best style to freely depict pain and suffering. Captive birds, the thirst of the earth, the loss of vegetation and the red rain that shows the peak of pain and dehydration. This collection shows a small part of the earth’s environmental problems. So, an effort was made to produce this collection with minimal damage to the earth

Research & Process

Most of the pieces used in this collection are recyclable or made from natural materials. For example, natural dyes such as tea have been used for coloring. A significant amount of the material is selected from recycled sources.
